Radio Station 1.0
The desktop FM and AM radio — a color screen, a telescoping antenna, and a built-in speaker, standing on your desk.
Radio Station 1.0 is the desktop member of the Radio Series — the same FM and AM tuner, speaker, and antenna as Radio Pocket, in a form built to sit still. It stands upright on four legs like a little screen, so you can keep it on a desk or shelf as an always-on radio: tune a station, extend the antenna, and leave it playing.
It runs the same radio firmware as Radio Pocket; there's no keyboard or gamepad — you drive it from the touchscreen and Core's onboard keys.

What you can do with it
- Tune and listen to FM and AM stations
- Hear it through the built-in speaker
- Extend the telescoping antenna for the best reception
- Stand it on your desk as an always-on radio
What's in it
- Core: ESP32 1.0 — the host: 2.0-inch color touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
- Expand: FM/AM Radio 1.0 — the FM / AM tuner, with a speaker and a telescoping antenna
- Power: Standard Cell 1.0 — the rechargeable battery
- A Station Frame that holds the three modules together, with four screw-on legs (removable) — they stack module-to-module, no cables
What it's for
Radio Station is for a fixed spot rather than your pocket — a kitchen counter, a workbench, a bedside table. It stands up on its legs and is made to sit out and play, so the radio is always ready. Want to carry it instead? That's Radio Pocket.
It's built for FM/AM radio: flash a radio firmware, extend the antenna, and tune. FM/AM Radio is one firmware you can run on it — see Firmware for the options.
Bands & reception
The FM/AM Radio module is a software-defined-radio tuner — it samples the signal and demodulates it digitally, for clean audio and accurate tuning across the broadcast bands:
- FM — 65–108 MHz, covering the OIRT (Eastern European), Japanese, European, and US FM bands
- AM — long wave (LW), medium wave (MW), and shortwave (SW)
- FM stereo with RDS / RBDS station text — station name, track info, and more
Reception is analog FM and AM.
Power it on
An Attaky has two power buttons — one on the battery and one on the host (Core). Switch the battery on first, then the Core.

These are close-ups of the modules — the power buttons are the same on every build.

Good to know
The desktop form. Same tuner, speaker, and antenna as Radio Pocket, but it stands upright on four screw-on legs — unscrew them to pack it flat — and is made to sit out and play.
FM and AM, with its own speaker. The FM/AM Radio module brings the tuner, a speaker, and a telescoping antenna, so it plays on its own — no headphones or external speaker needed.
Extend the antenna. Pull out the telescoping antenna for the best reception, especially on weaker stations.
Built as a stack. The three modules join module-to-module — the Core in front, the battery behind it, and the FM/AM Radio at the back — all held in one Station Frame with its four legs. No linking cables. The datasheet has the full breakdown.
Keep it dry and cool. It isn't waterproof — keep it away from rain, splashes, and damp. Operating temperature is 0–40 °C (32–104 °F); keep it out of direct sunlight and prolonged heat, and do not leave it in a parked car.
Size — Body 68 × 64 × 32.5 mm (without the antenna). With the telescoping antenna retracted it stands 238 mm tall; the antenna extends to 752 mm. It weighs 142.5 g with the antenna (115.3 g without).
